The Campo Quarterly

April 2023

The First Quarter of 2023 was a continuation of clients that became friends that are now hospitality real estate development partners. This quarter, as a team, we worked hard and played hard. We enjoyed multiple group events, and our first company crawfish boil was a huge success! Our backlog continues to be robust, which is a response to Campo's design excellence & hotel owner's profitability.

Project Updates

Now Open | AC + Element San Antonio

In December, the AC + Element San Antonio opened in San Antonio, Texas, steps away from the Riverwalk. This post-modern edifice is an adaptive reuse project with a dual-branded hotel, tenant office space, and rooftop bar. The tones and textures of the Texas Hill Country inspired the design of the first half of this dual-branded hotel. The second half of this dual-branded hotel concept was to blur the boundary between indoors and out. The exaggerated brightness and vitality inspire a comfortable and inviting setting where guests can relax and unwind. Campo served as the Architect of Record and Interior Designer for Winston Hospitality

In-Progress | Downtown Strategic Plan Phase 3 | Monroe, LA
Campo is excited to start Phase 3 of the Downtown Monroe Strategic Plan with the Downtown Economic Development District and the City of Monroe. This final phase will include continued Community Engagement efforts and the developing of an implementation plan. It will be essential to get the people of Monroe's feedback on the draft plan laid out in the Phase 2 booklet to guide the implementation efforts and priorities of the revitalization of their city.
Under Construction | AC Hotel Kansas City Downtown
Kansas City, MO

The historically significant Rialto Building is being converted into an AC Hotel by Marriott in the heart of the downtown loop in Kansas City. The 13-story hotel will feature amenities including a ground-level bar, lounge, fitness center, media salon, and over 4,000 sf of meeting space. Campo is the Architect of Record, Interior Designer, Historic Tax Credit Consultant, and Ownership Development Partner with Beechwood Pinnacle Hotels and VCC USA
